Controlled Tremors By Reggie Bill

Deeply scared for no reason

A common occurrence like squirrels on a sunlit lawn

Breathlessly stoic

Heart beats fast

Not quite a panic attack

More like a panic state

The underlying feeling creeps up

An Earthquake not quite ready

The tremors can be worse than an Earthquake

You know it’s coming

Or maybe it won’t

It’s that uncertainty that makes it terrible

Will I pass out

Will it get worse

Is this it

Because you have control.

Over you.

Not the Earthquake.

That is it.
